Overview

The Ion 30ACi+ is an advanced sump pump powering system with dual-source AC automatic powering designed for high-performance basement flood protection. The system features our 1/3 HP cast iron sump pump configured to run as a primary-caliber backup during power outages with the capabilities to also operate as a full-service primary for everyday use.

The single-pump primary and backup sump pump offers a convenient all-in-one system installation for new construction or when replacing existing equipment, and is especially ideal for narrow sump pits that only fit one pump.

Rated at 44 GPM of pumping capacity (at 10 feet of total dynamic head), the 120-volt system pump runs on standard AC electricity from one of two configured power sources. In absence of utility power supply, the pump runs on emergency AC power converted from deep cycle battery (requires one 12-volt Power+ AGM, purchased separately). While conventional DC backup systems gradually pump less water the longer an outage continues, the Ion 30ACi+ maintains peak pumping capacity while operating to meet or exceed demand.

Using available utility power, the durable cast iron high-capacity pump will also operate as the everyday primary. The system is designed to only consume battery when power becomes unavailable. By avoiding unnecessary depletion, the battery stays at 100 percent for whenever the next outage may occur.

Further enhancing pump reliability is the Ion+ Switch, which comes standard with the Ion 30ACi+. The stationary Ion+ Switch operates with no moving parts, and comes integrated with a high water alarm. Its proprietary solid-state sensing technology, first introduced with the original Ion Switch in 2010, has become the proven replacement for mechanical switches commonly attributed to pump failures and unnecessary flooding.

The Ion 30ACi+ can also operate as the secondary pump in applications with a separately installed primary to provide dedicated backup when inoperable from either mechanical or power failure.
